MONDAY MUSINGS SEASON 2 - EPISODE 328
25th August 2025
#AbundanceMindset
As fire is enveloped by smoke, as a mirror by dust, as an embryo by the amnion, so the knowledge of this (Self Awareness) is surrounded by those (self-doubts & fear of failure). (Bhagavad Gita 3.38)
There is no doubt that this in this sloka indicates #SelfAwareness. There is another reason why I interpreted the word those in the sloka to refer to negative thoughts. That will become clear when you understand the Mirror Principle explained below.
#MirrorPrinciple
The fundamental idea of the mirror principle is that our outer world is essentially a reflection of our inner world. It means that our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions are projected outwards, influencing how you perceive and interact with your surroundings, and how others perceive and interact with you.
The mirror principle posits that your outer reality is a reflection of your inner self. If you're unhappy, you might perceive more negativity in your environment. If you're confident, you might find more opportunities for success. Your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions act as a filter through which you experience the world.
Mirror Principle negates the lamentation that you cannot change the world around you. The mirror principle emphasises that you have the power to change your outer world by changing your thoughts and beliefs.
The three laws and the three keys of mirror principle are : (Adapted from the LinkedIn blog by Pradeep Kumar Dhoopati)
Law 1: The mirror of reality reflects two things: your relationship to the self and to the world.
If you constantly tell yourself, "I'm not good enough," or "I can't do this," you will find evidence to support these negative beliefs in your daily experiences. The reflection in the mirror (your external reality) keeps confirming what you believe about yourself.
Key 1: Form an identity and a paradigm.
Identity is envisioning where you want to be in the future, specifically ten years from now. You create a picture of your ideal life and the person you want to become. Crafting this "final picture" allows you to visualise yourself engaged in a specific activity that is aligned with your long-term vision. Paradigm is the lens through which you view the world. Form an identity that you want to embody every single day and a paradigm of your world view.
Law 2: The reflection is formed with a delay.
The physical dimension, as we experience it, operates under the laws of nature and is governed by the properties of matter and energy. Due to the "inert quality" of matter, it can't just make everything manifest instantaneously. It takes time.
Key 2: Stay with the identity and paradigm you've created for yourself.
The delay principle suggests that when working towards a goal, it's essential to be patient and allow the necessary time for the process to unfold naturally. Applying the delay principle may involve trusting the process, staying focused on the long-term vision, and avoiding the temptation to give up prematurely. It acknowledges that progress and success may not always be instantaneous and encourages perseverance and dedication until the desired reality is achieved.
Law 3: The mirror of reality reflects not the nature of your thoughts but the purified content of them.
When we harbour hatred towards someone, we tend to interfere with them more often than necessary. We hate our loans, but we'll likely get more loans or face other financial challenges that will put us in debt. This is why the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.
Key 3: Focus on what you have and what you want.
The most successful people achieve success by focusing on what they have and what they want. The mirror has no choice but to reflect more of what you have and more of what you want, giving it to you in abundance. So, this is the fundamental difference between a scarcity and an abundance mindset. The key to unlocking this law for yourself is to focus on what you have and what you want.
By understanding and applying these principles, we can create a more fulfilling life.
THINK POSITIVE, SPREAD POSITIVITY FOR MASTERING SELF-AWARENESS
Wipe the mirror clear of all the negative thoughts to get a glimpse of pure and infinitely potential Self.

Three employees — a conductor, a store attendant and a driver — of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) were recently honoured, not performance awards but awards recognizing the humanity and service.
1. Conductoramma’s kindness
For 48-year-old conductor Podduturi Anita from Khammam depot, one child’s death became a lifelong calling. Two decades ago, her young relative succumbed to thalassemia after her family struggled with unaffordable treatment. “I couldn’t forget his parents’ helplessness,” she recalls. “That’s when I decided no other family should go through what we did.”
In 2010, Anita started Sankalp, a voluntary group that organises blood donation camps and supplies free medicines to children with thalassemia. Today, 248 children depend on her efforts. She travels to villages to ensure regular transfusions, negotiates with hospitals for low-cost bone marrow transplants — 12 children have already received a new lease of life — and spends from her own salary when funds fall short.
Known affectionately as “Conductoramma”, Anita has been recognised with the Best Volunteer Award five times and the Best NGO Award once.
2. Making Karimnagar green
Pulle Satyanarayana, a 60-year-old store attendant at Karimnagar’s RTC workshop, is waging a green crusade. By day, he works in the depot; by evening, he roams the city with a sack of saplings strapped to his moped. What began as a childhood curiosity at the age of 10 has, over the decades, become an obsession. In the last 10 years alone, he has planted and nurtured nearly one lakh saplings.
Satyanarayana waters them through blistering summers, often spending his own money to keep them alive. His trees now line Karimnagar’s streets, offering shade and clean air. He doesn’t just plant; he preaches. A loudspeaker mounted on his bike blares messages on the importance of greenery as he rides along. Saplings are delivered free of cost to anyone who asks, transport included. “Trees don’t just give us oxygen; they give us life,” he says. Recognised with the Telangana Haritha Mitra Award, he has become living proof that one man’s daily effort can change a city’s landscape.
3. Building futures
At Secunderabad’s Cantonment depot, driver M Ramulu steers buses by morning and dreams by evening. In 2019, he founded the Mahakavi C Narayana Reddy Kalapeetham, a cultural organisation that blends art with social service. Each year, it honours poets from 10 districts and celebrates RTC drivers who complete their service accident-free. Just this June, 11 drivers from the Secunderabad region were felicitated at Ravindra Bharathi.
But his work stretches further back. In 2001, Ramulu adopted the government school in his hometown Rachalapalle of Nagarkurnool district. Twice a year, he returns to distribute clothes and pay the fees of poor and orphaned students. So far, he has supported 55 poets and plans to honour 100 by the 100th birth anniversary of C Narayana Reddy, an award-winning poet and writer, who also served as Telugu University vice-chancellor and Rajya Sabha member.
For TGSRTC, these three are more than staff—they are symbols of selflessness. “They remind us that true service begins where official duty ends,” Managing Director VC Sajjanar said.
